Netball Northern is pleased to share that Kaipara Netball Centre has officially joined Netball Waitākere as a Satellite, marking a positive step forward in strengthening netball delivery across the north‑west of the Zone.
Under the new partnership, Kaipara Netball Centre will be operated and governed by Netball Waitākere, and importantly, Kaipara Netball will continue to support its community by delivering netball at the Centre through their Games Committee.
For both Centres and the wider Zone, this move supports long‑term sustainability and growth, improved capability, and enhanced access to development pathways.
In a release from Netball Waitākere and Kaipara Netball Centre, Centres confirmed that this partnership reflects a shared commitment to growing participation, supporting volunteers, and providing quality experiences for players, coaches, umpires and whānau throughout the Kaipara district.
“This is about strengthening netball across our wider West Auckland catchment while respecting the unique identity and history of Kaipara Netball Centre,” said Murray Gardiner, General Manager of Netball Waitākere. “Together, we can create sustainable growth and expanded opportunities for our growing netball community in the North West region”
