A huge round of applause to the incredible coaches who have successfully completed Netball New Zealand’s Community Coach Award Level 1 and Level 2 during August and September!

This month, we celebrated a record number of coaches completing their CCA Level 2 – and that’s no small feat. One of the key criteria for this award is being formally observed in action, which can be tricky to organise. Thanks to the availability (and generosity) of our fantastic Coach Developers, we were able to make this possible for so many of you.

A Massive Thank You

To every coach who welcomed us into your coaching space – often in high-pressure moments when your focus was on your team – thank you. Being observed can feel like having a spotlight shining on you, yet you showed professionalism, openness, and a genuine willingness to share your craft.

The care, effort, and passion you pour into guiding your players is inspiring, and we feel privileged to have witnessed you in action.

Why This Matters

Completing CCA Level 1 or Level 2 is more than just a tick-box exercise. It represents growth as a coach, increased confidence, and a commitment to creating the best possible environment for players to thrive. You’ve put in the mahi – and your players, and the game itself, are all better for it.

So, here’s to you – the record-breakers, the game-changers, and the heart of our netball community. We can’t wait to see what you achieve next.
