The Mystics Men have once again proven their class, completing a dominant 3–0 clean sweep over the Stars Men to retain the Te Taonga Manu Taki trophy for the second consecutive year.
Over three thrilling matches played across Auckland, the Mystics showcased cohesion, control, and composure, with every player making meaningful contributions in a true team performance.

Standout Performers
Mikaira Raerino was outstanding under the post, delivering a clinical performance across the series. He finished with an impressive 99 goals from 107 attempts, providing consistency and composure that anchored the Mystics attack.
Soane Veatupu grew into the series and was electric in Game 3, where he took control in crucial moments and was deservedly named Player of the Match for his impact on court.
Ocean Grady was a defensive powerhouse across all three games. His timing, athleticism, and leadership in the back third saw him awarded Player of the Series for his consistent influence.
Eriata Vercoe, the team’s captain, led from the front, with intensity and clarity in the midcourt. His leadership on and off the court was a defining feature of the campaign, and his performances were a constant source of momentum for the Mystics.

While several individuals had standout moments, this series was defined by the cohesion, discipline, and commitment of the entire group. That collective effort didn’t start on game day; it was built in training long before the first whistle.
The players brought intensity and intent to every session, consistently challenging each other, buying into the Mystics way, and embracing our team culture. Their hard work on and off the court showed as the series progressed, with combinations growing stronger, connections tightening, and belief building.
From clinical shooting and relentless defence to smart decision-making and relentless effort, every player contributed. This clean sweep was more than just a scoreboard result, it reflected the group’s shared purpose, trust, and drive to get better every time they stepped on court.
