A huge congratulations to all the teams from the Netball Northern Zone who competed at the recent Netball NZ Open Champs. Your hard work, skill, and sportsmanship were on full display, and it's fantastic to see our zone's strength reflected in the final standings.
Top Finishes and Strong Performances
A special shout-out goes to our top-ranked teams. Counties Manukau led the charge with a phenomenal first-place finish, a testament to their exceptional talent and teamwork. Their journey to the top was a masterclass in netball, and everyone in the zone should be incredibly proud of their achievement.
Waitākere also had a brilliant tournament, securing a well-deserved fourth-place finish. Their consistent performance and determination throughout the competition were a joy to watch. Meanwhile, North Harbour battled hard to earn a solid eighth-place finish, showcasing their resilience against the country's best teams.
Impressive Results from All Our Clubs
Beyond the top eight, our zone's depth was evident in the final rankings. Auckland finished in a respectable ninth place, demonstrating their competitive spirit and skill. Manurewa and Kerikeri also put in strong performances, finishing in eleventh and thirteenth place, respectively.
Every single team contributed to a fantastic showing for the Netball Northern Zone. The dedication of the players, coaches, and everyone involved in supporting these teams has truly paid off.
