The New Zealand Secondary Schools (NZSS) squad for 2025 has been announced, and Netball Northern is thrilled to see so many of our athletes recognised for their talent and hard work.

Adding further strength to the Northern connection, Melissa Bessell has been named as the NZSS Assistant Coach. Bissell also led the Northern Marvels as Head Coach in 2025, bringing her wealth of experience to the national stage.
This is an outstanding achievement for all involved, and a reflection of the depth of talent and development within our Netball Northern zone. We look forward to watching these athletes and coaches continue to shine in the black dress.
