One of the biggest events on the secondary schools’ netball calendar wrapped up this week, with the 2025 Upper North Island Secondary Schools (UNISS) Tournament hosted at the Auckland Netball Centre from Monday 25 to Friday 29 August 2025.
More than 100 secondary school teams converged in Auckland for five days of high-intensity competition.
For schools across the Northern Zone, UNISS was once again a highlight of the season — a chance for players to test themselves against the very best from across the upper North Island, while strengthening team connections and creating lifelong memories.
The tournament continued its reputation as a breeding ground for emerging talent, with many current ANZ Premiership and Silver Ferns athletes having once represented their schools on the UNISS stage.
Northern teams were well represented across the draw, delivering strong performances and showcasing the depth of netball talent in our region. Families, friends, and supporters turned out in force, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the week.
Congratulations to all Northern schools who competed at UNISS 2025 — your efforts and achievements made the Zone proud.
