Netball Northern recently hosted two online roadshow sessions, giving our community a clear look into how the Netball Northern Zone Athlete Performance Pathway works. Coaches, administrators, centre leaders, players, parents and volunteers joined us to understand how players move from emerging talent through to high-performance opportunities, and how we can work together to support them.
The sessions outlined our Performance Strategy, the structure of the athlete pathway, and the development programmes and support systems we provide. We also discussed the core training habits young athletes need to build to progress, along with how centres and schools can play a role in talent identification and athlete support.
Each session ended with a Q&A, where thoughtful questions helped deepen understanding and reinforce the value of a connected, collaborative approach to athlete development.
