From the 7th to the 10th of July, the U18s Championships delivered four action-packed days of intense competition, skilful play, and inspiring sportsmanship. Some of the region’s best young netball talent came together to compete, demonstrating not only their abilities on the court but also remarkable hard work and determination.

The championship was fiercely contested across all divisions, with teams displaying impressive teamwork and resilience. It was thrilling to watch athletes push their limits and perform at their very best, making every game a memorable spectacle.

A huge congratulations goes to the female champions, Waitākere-F45 Swanson U18/1 Women, and the male champions, Waitākere F45 Swanson Under 18 Men. Both teams showcased outstanding skill, strategy, and commitment throughout the tournament, earning their well-deserved victories.

An exciting highlight of the championships was seeing many teams actively engaging in Netball Smart warm-ups—a crucial step toward injury prevention and player wellbeing. This focus on game preparation is encouraging to witness at such a high level of competition.

Thanks to the umpires who committed their time and expertise to officiate the games. Their dedication and professionalism were vital to the smooth running of the tournament.
