Netball New Zealand has just named the umpire groups for two of the biggest domestic tournaments on the calendar – the 2025 NetballSmart Netball NZ Open Champs in Christchurch (10–13 September) and the NZ Secondary Schools Netball Champs in Porirua (30 September–3 October) – and our Northern Zone officials are right in the thick of the action.

Netball New Zealand named 23 athletes to attend trials in Auckland (30 July–1 August) for selection in the NZ U21 team for the 2025 Netball World Youth Cup. Most triallists came from the existing squad, with three players—Stacey Ah Van, Losa Fifita, and Sophia Lafaiali’i—earning selection from outside the programme.
